Dr. Tarantello’s very positive experience as an English major at bet亚洲365欢迎投注 encouraged her to pursue her MA and PhD in English at 为dham University. Delighted to be teaching full-time at Marist, she hopes to inspire students in her First Year Seminar, 核心文献, and Writing for College classes, as her professors once inspired her. She fosters a friendly dynamic in the classroom, encourages active learning experiences in her courses, helps students develop necessary critical thinking and writing skills, and exposes them to interesting and thought-provoking texts. Dr. Tarantello is enthusiastic about literature of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, 但 always considers issues such as race, class, 和性别, which are topics that are still relevant today. She hopes that students who take her classes leave with a better appreciation for the topic, 但, 更重要的是, that they learn the value of hard work, 持久性, 和修订. In addition to teaching, Dr. Tarantello advises the English Honor Society, 西格玛τ δ, and is a member of the Marist Ally Network.

Dr. Tarantello currently serves as the director of the First Year Seminar program.
