August 16, 2022 – The Marist College Board of Trustees is proud to invite the Marist community to celebrate the inauguration of Dr. Kevin C. Weinman as Marist College’s fifth president with a series of events on campus September 22-23.

The celebration will begin Thursday, September 22, with campus tours and an open house at the Steel Plant Studios featuring the work of faculty, students, and alumni from the Art Department and Fashion Program. Friday morning will include installations of student and alumni research and creative activity and Academic Symposia featuring Marist faculty and their research and scholarship in the Murray Student Center.

The formal installation ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 23 at 1 P.M. on the Campus Green. The ceremony will be immediately followed by a community reception. All faculty are invited to join the academic procession and all members of the Marist community are invited to attend. Registration is required.

The ceremony will feature an address from Weinman, the formal installation, which includes the presentation of the symbols of office, additional guest speakers, an academic procession including Marist faculty and delegates from colleges and universities across the country, and musical performances from the Marist College Music Department.

The Marist College Inauguration Committee is planning and organizing all events.

The Board of Trustees selected Weinman as the College’s fifth president in July 2021. Since taking office in October, he has been a visible and hands-on leader across campus, engaging deeply in initiatives to enhance equity and diversity as well as the college’s signature academic experiences and high-impact practices.
